The Sea & The Horizon is a photobook which explores the themes of place and identity, focusing on the seascapes and horizons of Cornwall. Having not lived near the sea, until moving to Falmouth, to me the sea and open horizons are an integral part of Cornwall’s identity, and so were the inspiration for the book.

The book is comprised of images taken by me of the sea and the horizon, that were taken over the course of two weeks, from different places along west Cornwall’s coast.

One constant throughout the book is that all of the horizons in the images sit on the midline. Text is minimal throughout the book to allow for the images to speak for themselves, and remain the focal point.
